Our ideal candidate will be smart, self-driven, creative and collaborative. They must understand the nuance of balancing the filmmaker's needs while keeping Tribeca’s business success at the core of all decision making. They will proactively anticipate any filmmaker and internal obstacles and work to solve the problem. Most importantly, they will have a positive and diplomatic demeanor and a palpable energy and enthusiasm for the work and team.

YOUR DAY TO DAY 

 

PRE-FESTIVAL

  • Point person for 25 to 30 assigned filmmakers
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation needs through the festival travel team
  • Collect materials for the film’s publication and press presence
  • Arrange filmmaker ticket requests
  • Coordinate invitations to festival events for filmmakers
  • Liaise between the invited filmmaker and the Tribeca Film Festival for anything from travel to tickets
  • Must be able to relay all festival information to the filmmaker such a as schedule, policies and guest information in a clear, concise and efficient way

 

DURING FESTIVAL

  • Register filmmakers at the festival
  • Work with the venue staff to load in each screening and resolve any on-site difficulties
  • Manage the filmmaker’s itinerary for all festival responsibilities
  • Be the main contact for any possible issues that may arise during the festival
  • Acquire and coordinate all information, materials and requests from various departments within the festival deadlines, including, but not exclusive to the filmmaker information form, materials and travel information 
  • Must be able the main point of contact for filmmakers for anything from screenings to ticketing to hosting events

 

EXPERIENCE /REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years working with filmmakers, creative talent or in a festival environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing quick turn-around times and multiple projects at once while handling day-to-day with key clients
  • Proactive self-starter who is not afraid to ask questions and think of creative ways to get the job done 
  • Attention to detail with everything from filmmaker travels plans to coordinating event schedules
  • Passionate about the importance of film and film festivals and bringing unheard voices to the forefront
  • Strategic sensibility to evaluate work and have a point-of-view when needed
  • Event and media experience is a huge plus
  • In order to achieve all of the responsibilities, a clear communicator in all forms is essential
